Chiran is an occupational therapist who loves helping children build the skills they need to feel confident and capable in their everyday lives. He takes a warm and individualised approach, making sure every child feels supported as they develop their motor skills, sensory processing, and emotional regulation.
Chiran has experience working with children with a range of needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and sensory processing differences. He is trained in the Developmental, Individual Differences model, Relationship-Based (DIR) Floortime model and Sensory Integration Therapy, and he tailors each session to suit a child’s unique strengths, challenges, and interests.
At Kids First, Chiran helps children improve their coordination, independence, and ability to manage big feelings – whether that’s through fun movement-based activities, sensory play, or strategies that make everyday tasks easier. He also leads some of our popular social participation groups.
Chiran believes occupational therapy should be engaging and meaningful for kids, and he works hard to make each session enjoyable and effective. He also works closely with families and teachers to track progress and set goals so that children get the right support at home, in the classroom, and beyond.
Kind, approachable, and committed to helping kids succeed, Chiran is a popular member of Kids First’s multidisciplinary team. He is available Monday to Friday and rebates for his occupational therapy sessions can be claimed from Medicare, Health Funds, and the NDIS.
He looks forward to meeting you and your child!
