Northern beaches Speech Therapist specialises in reading and literacy

Speech Pathologist and reading specialist, Vickie Leung, has joined the Kids First Children’s Services team in Sydney’s northern beaches. Vickie is a former director of the Multi-Lit Literacy Centre at Macquarie University and has years of experience in supporting children’s literacy.

With extensive post-graduate training in a variety of areas, Vickie is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist.

She is a warm and friendly therapist whose special interest in supporting children with speech, language and literacy difficulties is complemented by her experience with children with additional learning needs.

Vickie particularly enjoys supporting school aged children as she helps them to improve their reading, writing and spelling. In addition to her skills in the area of children’s literacy, Vickie supports children with a variety of speech, language and social skills difficulties.

She also coordinates Kids First’s Ready Set Read program for early learners, ensuring that children aged 4-5 also benefit from her expertise as they build pre-literacy skills before they start school.
