Communicating with Care

How to have a successful conversation with parents when the subject is sensitive.

Are your staff confident when talking about children’s additional needs with parents?

Can they recognise the warning signs for children who experience communication, coordination and behavioural difficulties?

Do they know what to say to parents and how to convey concerns effectively and compassionately?

In this 2-hour workshop, presented by Kids First’s experienced paediatric health and education specialists, your staff will learn about:

• Key developmental milestones
• How to identify children who have additional needs.
• How to effectively communicate concerns to parents
• Key contacts in the community who can assist children & support families

Communicating with Care can be presented after-hours. All we ask is that a minimum of 12 staff members attend.
