Jessica is an experienced and energetic occupational therapist who is passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives. She is known for her dedication and professionalism, as well as her natural ability to build rapport with children of all ages and abilities.
As a paediatric OT, Jessica helps kids build the skills they need to participate successfully in their homes, preschools, schools, and communities. She also works closely with parents and teachers to support child’s behaviour and develop their play and social skills.
Jessica works with children who have special needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, and Intellectual Disability. She is trained in the DIRFloortime® approach to intervention, which uses the power of relationships and human connection to encourage the development of children’s self-regulation, engagement, communication, shared social problem solving, and flexible thinking.
Jessica also supports kids with motor skill delays, executive functioning difficulties, handwriting difficulties, sensory processing difficulties, social skill difficulties, and communication difficulties.
