The Kids First’s vacation programs are school holiday workshops with a difference!

Our dedicated team of therapists and teachers lead three-hour-long programs that offer valuable opportunities for kids with unique needs to build confidence while learning and practicing skills that they need to succeed in their primary school classroom, playground, and life.

In our familiar, caring environment, kids of all abilities feel welcome, known and accepted…. and because of this, they overcome their challenges and are able to THRIVE instead of just ‘cope’

Kids First’s experienced team of child psychologists, speech therapists, teachers and OTs offer supported school holiday workshops that help kids to reach their therapeutic goals and share social experiences with like-minded peers.

Group sizes are limited and NDIS-funded children are welcome.

Sensational Science

A little bit of mess, and a whole lot of fun! Your child’s morning will begin with therapy team members Brianna and Elyse, who will lead active games as we get our bodies and brains in sync.

Kids First director Sonja and occupational therapist Jessica will also jump in with some super new science experiments that they can’t wait to share.

And if your child has a NDIS plan, rest assured – it’s easy to use their funding. Kids First’s school holiday programs are based on therapeutic goals and we keep our workshop groups small so that everyone receives the support they deserve.

Mini MasterChefs

Embark on a culinary journey with our Fun Food Extravaganza at Kids First! Your child will Start the day with high-energy activities led by our fantastic OT team, ensuring your Mini Master Chef is ready to make the most of their thinking and creative skills.

Our dynamic speech pathology team will then guide your child through kid-friendly cooking, fostering social, communication, and practical skills in a fun-filled environment.

NDIS funded children are welcome to join us for this morning of delicious discoveries where every bite is a step towards learning, laughter, and skill development!

Messy Play Day

Say ‘Yes to Mess’! We can’t wait for this fantastic morning of sensory games with the Kids First OT team!

While grown-ups know that messy play fosters creativity, encourages communication skills and promotes physical development, kids know that messy play means F-U-N!

We want your child to feel welcome and supported, which is why Kids First’s Messy Play Day is open to children with NDIS funding.

Ready. Set. Play! Games are cool, and it’s even more fun when we get to play with new people.

This January, we are rolling out the red carpet for all Games & Play Day players in an action-packed morning with lots of variety on offer.

Learning to win, lose and simply enjoy the match is the key to having a great time… and we have some surprises in store for our competitors too!

With a variety of activities to choose from, your ‘Player’ will not only learn some fantastic new games, but also get the chance to practice their problem solving, social communication and teamwork skills.

Mini Magicians Club

Let your child’s imagination run wild in a magic-filled morning that will improve their creativity, confidence, and concentration.

Kids First’s clever therapists have lots of magic tricks to share, as well as amazing experiments and magical craft activities that will build your child’s speaking, listening, and motor coordination skills.

Your mini magician will leave with lots of new and exciting tricks up their sleeve!

Our Mini Magicians Club Workshop warmly welcomes all, including those with NDIS funding. Places are limited, so secure your spot using the booking form at the bottom of this page.

Cost per Kids First Workshop: $249.00

Per child, this fee covers:

3 hours of direct service delivery from multiple members of the Kids First clinical team
1 hour of programming, goal setting, coordination and resourcing
30 minutes of clinical documentation

Each workshop commences at 9.00 am and concludes at 12.00 pm.

Cancellation fees apply to changes made within 24 hours of the class start time.

Kids First’s School Holiday programs are offered on a group basis. In taking into account the needs of all children who are participating, Kids First reserves the right to deny a place for your child if we determine that our programs are an unsuitable match for your child’s social, behavioural, or physical needs.
