Samantha Su – Occupational Therapist

Samantha’s Masters’ degree in Occupational Therapy and Bachelors’ degree in Psychological Science means that she has a unique understanding of the challenges that many children and families face.

Throughout her career, Samantha has worked extensively in private practice and not-for-profit early intervention settings.

She has years of experience supporting preschool and school aged children who need help to overcome gross motor and fine motor difficulties as well as children who have social and emotional regulation challenges.

In her role as a children’s OT, Samantha also finds solutions for boys and girls who are still learning self-help and daily living skills such as toileting and sleeping.

Samantha enjoys the variety offered by her role, which also gives her opportunities to help children experience more success in the classroom.

She helps children who struggle with handwriting and organisational skills, as well as those who need help to remember the concepts and information that is delivered by classroom teachers.

While Samantha shows children how to improve their Visual Processing and Visual Memory so that learning is easier and more successful, she also supports parents and teachers with strategies to use at home and at school.

In addition to her work with mainstream children, Samantha is an important member of Kids First’s Early Intervention team.

She has extensive training and experience assisting children who struggle with issues such as Sensory Processing difficulties, Autism and other special needs and provides positive occupational therapy that helps children to meet the goals that are important to them and their families.

Rebates for OT sessions with Samantha can be claimed through private health funds and Medicare. Samantha is also a provider of therapy to children eligible for NDIS, Helping Children with Autism and Better Start funding.
