Career Opportunity:

Occupational Therapist

Kids First Children’s Services is opening a leadership pathway for an experienced paediatric OT ready to step into mentoring. If you’ve been the person others turn to for guidance, whether in a formal leadership role or simply because you’re the one people trust, this is a chance to make that official.

What matters to us

What matters to us is ‘fit’, for our clients, colleagues and community. It’s the thing we look for before anything else, because the right fit is what makes a team feel like a team, not just a collection of clinicians sharing a roof.

Our warm and accomplished team is a generous and whole hearted one. You’ll find people here who are quick to share a case idea over coffee, celebrate a colleague’s win, and check in on each other on the harder days. Our Core Values, Care, Kindness, Compassion and Making a Contribution, are key to everything we do, from how we support our clients to how we support you.

At Kids First, you’re a person first and a practitioner second. We want to know what matters to you outside of work too, because we believe in work/life balance. That’s why every week ends at noon on a Friday, why a four-day week is on the table if you want it, and why your caseload is planned with your leadership responsibilities in mind, not squeezed in around them.

Where you’ll work

Kids First Children’s Services is a long-established, award-winning paediatric practice based in Brookvale on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Since 2007, our multidisciplinary team has supported thousands of Northern Beaches children and families. Over that time, we have built a strong local reputation for clinical excellence, integrity, and the warm, practical way we work with children, families, schools, preschools, and community professionals.

Families come to Kids First through word of mouth, medical referrals, and longstanding professional relationships. Many of the children we support are seen by more than one discipline, which means our Occupational Therapists are part of regular shared thinking with Speech Pathologists, Child Psychologists, and specialist Early Intervention teachers.
