Louise is an experienced mental health clinician and qualified teacher who has been supporting children, adolescents and families for more than 10 years.
Louise started her professional life as a teacher in England and she has worked in schools in Australia, Asia and the UK. Her broad understanding of children’s learning, development, and behaviour gives her a unique insight into kids’ social, emotional, and academic needs.
As a Child & Family Clinician, Louise has extensive experience in administering psychological assessments, including IQ/cognitive testing and academic testing that helps to identify children’s unique learning needs. At Kids First, Louise currently conducts assessments for:
- Intellectual giftedness
- Specific Learning Disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia)
- Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Intellectual Disability
- Mood Disorders (e.g. Anxiety & Depression)

Louise also has a special interest in providing psychological support for children and adolescents experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, anger, developmental difficulties, social skills, and relationship problems.
Louise likes to take a fun approach to therapy and assessment. She is passionate about supporting children and families with creative, evidence-based intervention that helps them to reach their potential and be the best they can be.
In addition to assessments and individual therapy for children and families, Louise leads Kids First’s evidence-based Cool Kids groups for anxious children aged 7 to 12.
As a mental health professional who is in the final stage of her six-year psychology degree, Louise is a provisional psychologist and is therefore accredited by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Louise is available at Kids First Children’s Services on Mondays, Tuesdays and every second Saturday to conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for pre-school and school-aged children and adolescents. She also provides therapeutic supports to children and adolescents on Fridays.
