Dimity Blank – Child & Family Clinician

Dimity is a qualified Counsellor and experienced Early Childhood Teacher with a background in inclusive education and disability support.

Throughout her career, Dimity has worked with children and young people who require extra understanding and she is passionate about providing solutions for children and families when learning, behavioural, developmental, or identity differences create stress, anxiety, and relationship issues.

Dimity is a kind, gentle, and caring clinician with an understanding of a wide variety of treatment methods such as Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and play-based therapy.

She has supported children and young people who have been affected by family breakups as well as those who struggle to manage their emotions, navigate friendships, and develop healthy self-esteem.

She is particularly committed to supporting children who live with disabilities and developmental delays and their families.

At Kids First, is an integral member of our early intervention team, supporting children with NDIS funding and their families.

She guides parents and carers to a better understanding of their children’s needs with practical ways in which to improve relationships, behaviour, and life at home.

Her experience as a teacher also enables her to provide sensible, constructive advice to classroom educators.

Dimity leads some of Kids First’s evidence-based Social Skills groups and her expertise as a creative early educator is showcased in her supportive Ready Set School program for children aged 4 to 5.
