About us

Kids First Children’s Services is an established, award-winning, and family-owned private practice with an outstanding reputation for clinical excellence and for the friendly way in which we help children to overcome their challenges.

Since 2007, our experienced team of speech pathologists, occupational therapists, child psychologists, and teachers has helped more than 20,000 northern beaches children and their families.

With 15 years of history, we are now expanding in order to meet our community’s needs and are looking for a Customer Service Coordinator who can hit the ground running and add immediate value to our close-knit team. 

Customer Service Officer at Kids First Children's Services

In this role, you’ll:

  • Learn and know everything about our services and the problems we solve. (Fear not—we provide the training).
  • Meet and greet children and families with your warm, sensitive and personable nature.
  • Have great listening and communication skills that enables you to provide clear, relevant information to parents, doctors, teachers and other professionals who make enquiries over the phone and by email.
  • Have brilliant attention to detail, time management skills and excellent spelling, punctuation and grammatical skills.
  • Be a team player (because we’re a small team and we care about one another)
  • Follow through on your commitments, be reliable, consistent and take initiative.
  • Know how to navigate Microsoft Office and be tech savvy enough to quickly learn how to use our practice management system
  • Look after our office supplies and the presentation of our waiting room and clinical areas

Of course, you will have:

  • Enthusiasm for the consumption of cake, treats and the occasional team lunch that may or may not involve pizza (Yes, Kids First is that kind of place)
  • A ‘can do’ attitude
  • Commitment to making a positive, practical and professional contribution to our team
  • Previous experience in a busy administrative role that included extensive face to face client contact and use of technology (Our practice management system is ‘in the cloud’)
  • A natural ability to see ‘the big picture’ and appreciate the importance of your role as ‘the face’ of Kids First
  • A positive, mature and helpful approach to your work
  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • Immaculate presentation
  • The flexibility to cover your colleagues’ working days when they’re on leave (they’ll do the same for you and so it helps if you live locally)

Days and hours

As a member of a mature, friendly, and highly skilled job-sharing team, you will be available to work:

  • Fridays          9.00am to 4.30pm
  • Saturdays     8.00am to 2.00pm (penalty rates apply)

Flexibility to work extra hours/days when required will be highly regarded.
