Cleo Eshun-Wilson – Psychologist

Cleo Eshun-Wilson – Psychologist

Cleo ran a successful psychology practice in Hervey Bay for more than a decade before relocating to Sydney to join the Kids First team. She has supported children of all ages and their families and as a highly qualified Educational Psychologist, she is uniquely positioned to provide advice and guidance to families about children’s learning and behaviour.

In addition to individual and family counselling that supports children and teens, Cleo supports parents and carers with behaviour management and provides guidance during periods of grief and loss, separation and family stress. She has vast experience with children who have additional needs and by working collaboratively with teachers, doctors and other professionals, helps families to develop positive relationships with the adults who are part of their child’s support network.

Cleo has a strong background in clinical assessments that can confirm if a child is Gifted, has Specific Learning Difficulties such as Dyslexia or determine a child’s learning and academic potential (IQ). She conducts testing for children aged 2 to 18 that supports teachers and paediatricians and is also able to advise parents about how to best meet their son or daughter’s unique needs.

At Kids First, Cleo offers both individual and small group therapy services. She coordinates our popular Courageous Kids small group program for anxious children aged 8-12 and has a special interest in supporting sensitive children.

Her services are eligible for health fund rebates and she also provides support under the NDIS and Medicare’s Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. Cleo works at Kids First on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
