Sarah Conroy – Occupational Therapist

Sarah Conroy – Occupational Therapist

Sarah is a uniquely skilled Occupational Therapist who is also a qualified primary school teacher.

Her passion for supporting children began when she completed a Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Technology in Sydney.

Sarah subsequently spent 5 happy years teaching children aged 5 to 12 in a northern Sydney school.

Seeking further opportunities help children reach their full potential, Sarah successfully completed her Masters’ degree in Occupational Therapy at Sydney University, and as result, holds double qualifications as both a teacher and paediatric OT.

Prior to joining Kids First, Sarah worked in a private occupational therapy practice in northern Sydney. She has also provided occupational therapy support to students in rural school settings.

Sarah has a particular professional interest in supporting children’s learning with evidence-based occupational therapy strategies that are both fun and effective.

She is especially committed to helping children so that their preschool, primary and high school experiences are more rewarding and successful.

Sarah’s working knowledge of the NSW curriculum allows her to identify the areas in which children are struggling and to devise practical therapy programs that provide solutions to children’s problems.

She also has experience working children with ADHD, Autism, Sensory Processing Difficulties, Learning Disabilities and Behavioural Difficulties.

Sarah’s combined skills as an educator and clinician mean that she easily collaborates with  parents, teachers and other professionals.

Families who work with Sarah at Kids First soon discover that she is a dedicated, innovative and enthusiastic therapist who cares deeply for the children who come to her for therapy.

Rebates for appointments with Sarah can be claimed through private health funds and Medicare (when a plan has been set up by a GP).
